ADVANCED WOUND CONTACT LAYER
RelipadXtreme uses an advanced wound contact layer that encourages fluid to pass from the surface through to the absorbent layer, but helps prevent it striking back through. This is achieved using hexagonal shaped pores that have a burr on the underside of the layer. The layer is constructed from a nylon polymer that is designed not to stick to a wound site.
The RelipadXtreme dressing has the wound contact layer on both sides, allowing for correct application in low light conditions. The hexagonal design of the wound contact layer helps prevent strike through to the back of the dressing.
HIGHLY ABSORBENT LAYER
RelipadXtreme has 350g /m2 of advanced absorbent material, over 3 times the weight of regular Relipad! This absorbent material is capable of absorbing up to 10 times its own weight. The fibres in the absorbent layer are arranged horizontally so that they encourage fluid to spread evenly across the full breadth of the pad, maximising its absorbent capability and preventing strike through and strike back.
PACKAGING
The pads are packaged in an easy to open pouch that can act as a sterile field for the dressing whilst a wound site is being prepared. One side of the pouch is transparent, assisting clear product identification in low light conditions.
CUTTING RELIPADXTREME
Relipad retains its fibre integrity when cut to size, thus maximising its flexibility.
INDICATION
RelipadXtreme is indicated for use on lacerations, minor burns, grazes and as a post-operative dressing. It is equally effective on low, medium and high-level fluid discharge situations.
