Suitable for a wide variety of injuries, and capable of application to almost any body part. TraumaFix® helps quickly stem blood-flow and protects the wound-site from contamination. The sterile TraumaFix® dressing pad has a wound contact layer with a mono-directional action, allowing, indeed encouraging fluids to pass through into the dressing, but preventing them from striking back to the wound site. This is achieved using hexagonal shaped pores with a lip or burr on the inside of the dressing. The wound contact layer is made from smooth Rayon, which is engineered not adhere to a wound site. The dressing pad consists of 700gsm absorbent fibre, capable of absorbing up to 15 times its own weight in fluid, ideal for a heavy-bleed wounds. The TraumaFix® pressure bandage enables medical attendants to quickly apply direct pressure to a wound, the "Velcro" fixing provides the fastest means to secure or adjust the bandage. TraumaFix® is designed to allow a wound site to be rapidly dressed, auto applying direct pressure, arresting bleeding, and most critically, allowing medical personnel to deal with other injuries or delivery CPR. No dressing is quicker to use, or more effective in operation. TraumaFix® is available in two sizes, 10cm x 18cm or 15cm x 18cm each size is vacuum packed to minimise storage space.
